This doll house was created by Caledon’s own Daisy Pittis.  For the last few years Daisy has spent hundreds of hours creating unique handcrafted doll houses to be raffled off by various Social Service based organizations.  This year she has chosen Hospice Caledon to benefit from her generosity of time and kind spirit.  This wonderfully crafted doll house would be a great addition to any home!

Congratulations to Gordon Curry for winning the Doll House.

We thank everyone who bought a ticket and helped raise $937.00 for the Bethell House Hospice.

Thank you Daisy for creating such a beautiful gift.

RBC CONTRIBUTES TO BETHELL HOUSE

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) recently presented a $30,000 donation to Hospice Caledon to help build the 10-bed residential hospice residence known as Bethell House. Seen here at the presentation are Sharon Gibbons, head of client care of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in Erin; Bruce Gehlen, regional VP, Central Market for RBC; Lorna Bethell and Doreen Beffort, campaign cabinet member for Bethell House; and David Logan, branch manager of Orangeville RBC. “I am so grateful to RBC for recognizing the importance of supporting this project that is so vital for the community. No one should have to die alone,” said Bethell. The facility is to be named in honour of her late husband and Second World War hero Tony Bethell. “RBC is proud to support the Bethell House Hospice for all the work they do to help those most in need in our community,” said Gehlen.

Hospice Caledon - Spinathon

Rooftop Cycling Spinathon, Saturday, Oct 17 helped Hospice Caledon

Thank you to the staff and Riverdale Fitness Mill and the many participants who helped raiser over $5000 toward the building of Bethell House.  We cannot believe the outpouring of support from the community.  Thank you all!

******

On October 17 Riverdale Fitness Mill and Wellness Centre held its third annual Dawn to Dusk Roof Top Spin for charity, and over 70 spinners raised an incredible $5,050 with donations continuing to come in.
The money raised will go to support Hospice Caledon’s Bethell House, a 10-bed residential hospice currenlty being built in Inglewood that will provide end of life care to people in Caledon and surrouning areas.
Participants dressed in layers and braved the cold early Saturday morning with pedaling going almost non-stop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We're lucky to have compassionate members that genuinely care about our community,” said owner Andre Leitert.  “It's a wonderful thing to be a part of each year and we're thankful for the continuing support of Hospice Caledon, our members, staff and the entire community.”
Many local establishments made generous contributions so that massages, prizing and refreshments could be offered throughout the day.  Riverdale would like to thank all of these sponsors for their support:  Body Perks,  Broadway Meats, Caledon East IGA, Caledon Hills Cycling,  Caledon Ski Club, Dixie Orchards, Glen Echo Nurseries, Inglewood General Store, Kinetico Water Systems, Marvelous Munchies and Tim Hortons.
The concept of riding on top of the Mill located in Inglewood is as unique as the club itself. Located inside a historic 6,500 square-foot building, Riverdale Fitness Mill is a 'boutique' style fitness club. Originally erected in 1837 to clean and cart wool, the mill has a charming rustic ambiance with original stone work and large wooden beams.
